Noter terms of service
Last updated 14 October 2026
These terms apply to Noter, an app run by Greymind Research (Balki, sole trader, Amsterdam, the Netherlands). By using Noter you agree to them. Contact: [email protected].
Who can use it
Noter is invite-only. It is free, and it is not offered to the public. An invitation can be withdrawn at any time; you will be told, and sent a copy of your notes on request.
Your content
What you write in Noter and the mail you connect stay yours. You give Greymind Research only the permission needed to store and show it to you and to run the features you use. How your data is handled is set out in the Noter privacy policy.
Connected accounts
You may connect only mailboxes and calendars you are allowed to use. Noter acts on them only when you ask it to, or through the sender rules you set up. Your use of Gmail, Google Calendar and Outlook stays subject to Google's and Microsoft's own terms.
Fair use
Don't use Noter to send spam, to break the law, or to try to get into other people's data or the systems Noter runs on.
No guarantees
Noter is provided as it is, free of charge, by one person. It may change, be unavailable for a while, or be shut down. Keep your own copy of anything you can't afford to lose. As far as Dutch law allows, Greymind Research is not liable for indirect loss or for loss of data, and its total liability is limited to €100. Nothing here limits liability for intent or gross negligence.
Ending
You can stop using Noter whenever you like, and disconnect your mailboxes or ask for your data to be deleted (see the privacy policy). If Noter is shut down, users get at least 30 days' notice and a copy of their notes on request.
Law
Dutch law applies to these terms. Disputes go to the competent court in Amsterdam, unless the law gives you the right to go to a court where you live.
